BJJ is not just submissions….it's sweeps …takedowns and counters as well. So….if a BJJ guy slaps a triangle on you and u escape……u just did BJJ yourself….if a BJJ guy takes your back and attempts a RNC but you successfully fight his hands…tuck your chin and turn to escape or end up in the guard….you just did BJJ…! While wrestling is certainly a formidable and useful martial art…one absolutely will not attain great heights in the UFC or Bellator without learning the sub game….defense …..sweeps and counters…..Mr. Askren you have been using BJJ and apparently you aren't aware of it.
