When Helio Gracie took classic judo out of their game…they lost a part of the game that put them 50 years back in takedowns. If Helio would have kept classic Judo in their game, they probably wouldn't need to higher wrestling coaches at this point and would be the hands-down most well-rounded martial art for self-defense and sport. There is no Newaza, if you can't take them down.
