Hey BJJScout. When are you going to actually break down mma and jiujitsu fights and tactics again like the old days? Your stuff was some of the best so its a shame we only get these digest videos about information we can find on Instagram etc. Don't waste your time on journalism. Your insight and knowledge is the best around and taught me so much. Please consider going back to that.

I think Gordon is viewing the sport all wrong. It was like that and had to be like that in order to show the world what it is. So it was an unstable time. But now is in a time of peace. Just like a successful nation in a time of peace , people can now have time for sports and activities where they can display class. But if a nation resorts to war time just like the art then it has a different initiative. Gordon. BJJ is in a prosperous peaceful thriving times. No need for the war stuff ATM.

The Gracies sucking up to a fascist like Bolsonaro is pathetic. Bolsonaro and his cronies are like an even dumber, more corrupt version of Trump and his family. When he got elected he vowed to remove protections from the amazon so that multinationals could move in and get to work. Rich playboys like the Gracies are detached from reality and are like giddy schoolgirls cause Bolsonaro talks to them.

Jiu Jitsu was about storming dojos and beating people back in the days, true, but that doesn't mean it didn't become something better with time. We live in a different era and a lot of us live in different places where this stuff was never a thing.. the USA, Europe..

Now I don't have stats in hand, but we can all agree a large portion of practitioners are hobbyists, people with full time jobs who want to train more for fun and to be a part of an healthy environment than to be a fighter.
So I think we can all agree Bjj does come from that background.. but it's time to move on I guess..
