Growing up on #oahu in the 80’s, we didn’t have skateparks. Dropping in on a vert ramp was something I was never able to try as a kid. In 2016 (at 41 years old) I gave it a try and as you can see it did not go well ??. There was a bruise the size of a softball on my hip and I had bursitis in my elbow for a month but I never missed work due to injury. Some of the toughest human beings are forged via #skateboarding, and I would never be able to be fully satisfied with my existence on earth if I hadn’t tried again. Two years ago tomorrow, I finally got it thanks to @moormansmenu and @mewnyewnit.
