Rogan is very stupid and tiresome to blow any other martial-art than his precious BJJ. I know various form of Karate who spar hard and their black belt is even more deserved than getting it directly from your teacher. In France per example, whenever it's Judo, Karate or else, (and it's the same in other country of Europe) first you need a certain number of years of practice before being allowed to do the Black Belt Exam and it's not your teacher but other high ranked Judoka or Karateka who will judge your kata, techniques, etc. The sparing is their too, as well as the competition where you must go to get some points by scoring Ippon.

Rogan has probably forget the number one thing in martial arts : modesty.
