All the major BJJ players and champs in no GI are GI champs as well…minus 10th planet, those dudes are getting there but the GI guys hold down both styles.

Jiu jitsu will never be mainstream period and EBI has its fair share of boring matches too. In fact after a few events I skip most matches unless its Tonon or Ryan since they typically look for the finish all the time

gotta train both but i also think that jiujitsu is more fun to watch when its sub only and no gi… but i also dont think its something that will appeal to mainstream very well..

Any fighting with a lot of stalling is boring to watch. I was bored watching Geo Martinez vs Eddie Cummings in EBI because Geo twisted himself into a pretzel and stalled out Eddie for the whole 10 minutes. I get that watching a guy get lasso guard and pinning a guy for most of the match and then sweeping last second for the win is boring but so are mma fights with incredibly high level strikers that look like they're shadow boxing for 25 minutes. I think more of the problem is in how little it's out there for people to appreciate.

Never done it with a gi, but it sure looks boring. Anyway, it's he's opinion and ALOT others agree, so to hate on him for it shows poor character.

i love 10th planet! i started a month ago and my teachers great, but i kind of wish i went to gi instead as a beginner. no gi is ridiculously fast paced and i end up trying to smash or get smashed on cause theres no time to think.
