If you train Jiu Jitsu regularly, you have a game thats starting to take shape. Maybe a deadly De La Riva guard, or crushing Kneecut pressure, or maybe it’s getting tapped seven times in a row until your opponent is utterly exhausted, before you rise like a pheonix from the ashes and destroy them.

But one element might be missing; the stand up.

You try your one half-hearted takedown, and if/when it fails you pull guard. It’s okay, I did that too. Hell most of the time I didn’t even try my crappy takedown. Straight to the butt flop. Touchdown, we’re safe in guard now.
