The Chair Sit is one of the most common ways to take someone’s back in BJJ, and it can also be used to regain back control when you opponent escapes from it.

If you get back control. You should get the submission. But like all things in Jiu Jitsu – not all the time! Particularly if your training partner is very good at escapes or perhaps you have had an off night…but you can turn that escape into a mount. If this is competition you have gained 4 points for the back and now another 4 points for the mount. 8 points! And perhaps that is close to a submission.
