<p>This is something he, and most newer people, deal with.</p>
<p>Most White Belts, including myself, struggle with it. I&#8217;ll give you a quick tip to help your breathing and instantly feel like you&#8217;ve increased your cardio capacity.</p>

<p>If you’re struggling with your foot work for BJJ and also want to improve your knee on belly position, then give these drills a try!<br />
In this sequence, I use a medicine ball which has been one of my favorite pieces of equipment for solo drilling.</p>
<p>These drills will work on your footwork, balance, and cardio.</p>
<p>You can do these movement for 1 minute each, 2-3 rounds. Increase your speed as you get comfortable.</p>

<p>In today&#8217;s Chewy ramble I answer a cardio question from a young BJJ White Belt who represents a common type in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. He&#8217;s someone who was a bit of a couch potato who then decided to get into Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (after watching videos and hearing podcasts on it). So far, it&#8217;s been great! </p>
<p>But he says he gets exhausted whenever he rolls and wants some tips on how to improve his cardio for rolling. He says he can&#8217;t train more BJJ with his schedule. So he&#8217;s looking for cardio training he can do off that mat, that will support his training on the mat. </p>
<p>In the video I&#8217;ll lay out 2 simple types of exercises to incorporate off the mat to support your rolling. </p>
