This video I go over the mechanics for finishing the matrix both for a more effective back take but also to prevent accidentally hurting your knee. Since the matrix has become a popular attack from guard I have seen quite a few people get injured attempting it, its important that if you go for this attack you have the right angles for your knee to prevent the injury.
