Chaining attacks together is one of the hallmarks of a great grappler.
When we talk about closed guard, one of the most classic submission combos is the Armbar-Omoplata-Triangle Choke sequence.
It’s a well known drill that’s often utilized as a warm-up in many Jiu-Jitsu gyms across the globe.
Last weekend at the UFC, Charles Oliveira was able to execute that same submission chain against Kevin Lee, easily the best grappling sequence of the night.
I break down some of the details of those transitions in this video.
