A New Way to hit the Darce Choke

A new way to hit the Darce choke! As in new to most of you. This grip has been around for awhile most just don’t know about it.

If you have short arms or a jacked up wrist like me this should fit perfectly in your game. Sometimes on bigger guys I prefer this grip. It is easier to hold on to and hard for them to use their shoulders to break out. Just don’t let go!

Beginner Sweep From De La Riva (the Dump Sweep)

If you are new to the de la riva guard this may be a great option for you to start with! It is a very simple sweep that works. As long as you are cutting the angle right you can hit this sweep today.

Just be sure to hit this as soon as they stand up as it makes it easier to land. Have fun sweeping everyone!

Making the Scissor Sweep Work

The scissor sweep is easily still one of my favorite sweeps to hit. Most people use it for transitions. (Which isn’t a bad thing. The scissor sweep is a great tool to set up many techniques) is still like to use it for the sweep.

I still hit this technique on black belts. (Gi only) I just use this simple tip that helps me hit it.
