Today I’ll answer a question from YouTube about passing guard in Jiu-Jitsu.

They want to know how to pass all the basic guards: butterfly half, butterfly, closed, etc.

Well, obviously I’m in a chair, but I think there’s more benefit to a discussion than just breaking down my favorite pass from each position.

I have several videos on the channel that address specific techniques.

When I read that question It made me think of my own general philosophy of guard passing, which you might or might not find helpful.

That’s what I’ll discuss in this video and more. Hopefully, if you’re struggling to pass the guard in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, then you found these ideas helpful.
