Today’s video is a clip from a recent episode of the Chewjitsu podcast with one of my Black Belt students Jeff.

In the clip he shares a story about how I denied him a Black Belt promotion that sent him on his way to reinventing his Jiu-jitsu game.

Almost a year later he competed at a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu competition and played a completely different game than he normally used to.

I also share why he was able to do this without having to train 6-7x a week.

The basics concepts behind a successful guard pull in BJJ.
This video tutorial breaks down guard pulling into three steps:
1. Establish dominant grips
2. Hide the pull with a feint
