theres a quote in the book the art of war that kept coming to my mind before this match

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I trained tommy for about 2 years in the past and I had the advantage of knowing both of them.

it was my favorite match to watch, they both gave it all they got and fought to submit each other. I wanted tainan to pass the guard and he used relentless pressure with great understanding of distance on top to attack side to side forcing tommy to turtle and expose his back.

Se você conhece o inimigo e conhece a si mesmo, não precisa temer o resultado de cem batalhas. Se você se conhece mas não conhece o inimigo, para cada vitória ganha sofrerá também uma derrota. Se você não conhece nem o inimigo nem a si mesmo, perderá todas as batalhas.

eu tinha a vantagem de conhecer ambos muito bem, eu treinei o tommy por aproximadamente dois anos nas faixas roxa e marrom.

essa foi minha luta favorita, os dois estavam dispostos a finalizar um ao outro e a disputa de vontade e tecnica veio a tona, tainan usou sua excelente movimentação e entendimento de distancia por cima para cansar e fazer o tommy dar as costas.
