I have been focusing more on active stretching and movement to assist with engaging and firing muscle groups to get warmed up for training or activity.

By actively moving the legs and hips, I’m activating the muscles which gets them firing, and ultimately warms up the tissue and gets the areas prepare and ready for movement.

An active warm up with movement and muscle activation is key in performance as well as decreased risk of injury.

I go through a number of variations with this exercise and have found it challenging and beneficial while trying it out.

Let me know your thoughts and send me any questions below!

*** I have just released my new warm-up that was created specifically for grapplers!
The warm-up includes dynamic movements, stretches, range of motion exercises, muscle activation exercises, and a bunch more content that I have used myself and with my training partners to allow for an effective and useful warm-up to keep you healthy and training.
