Eight Useful Guard Passes | Jiu-Jitsu Fundamentals

There are hundreds of guard passes, but these are some really useful ones, which I think deserve some attention and should be in every passer’s arsenal. Included in this video are the following:

– Split Pass
– Knee Cut (Seated & Standing)
– Stack with Back Step
– Stack with Hip Pressure
– Toreando Variation
– Spider Guard Grip Break
– Spider Guard Step-Over
– Modified Leg Drag

The Coyote Guard or Dog Fight half guard position is extremely powerful and difficult to pass. In addition if you get swept from it you often expose a back take or guard pass, so because of that it’s very critical to know how to defend and pass. This video I overview the mechanics for stopping my opponent from coming up into me and how to secure your pass finish grips.
