<p>One of the most common reactions to being put into the Kimura Trap TV position is to bridge and roll. It is instinct for people to try and recover top position, and we get to use that instinct against them!</p>
<p>By bridging, they have exposed their back. That allows us to attack and take their back while getting a choke set up simultaneously.</p>

<p>I glossed over the fact that you can snag a very simple one arm choke from the back crucifix. It&#8217;s a simple thing to try that doesn&#8217;t cost you anything to go for. But, if that fails, we can go to our leg hook. But what if the opponent walks away from you and prevents the leg hook?</p>
<p>That&#8217;s when the side triangle kicks in. I like side triangles a lot, as they are like having a front headlock, but using your legs instead of your arms. The triangle itself can be brutal, but you also can lock up a modified Kimura, wrist lock, or a top side Kimura mouse trap.</p>
