In today’s BJJ technique video one of my bearded doppelgangers drops by and shows off a cool counter you can use from Turtle position in BJJ or submissions grappling.

Johnny Buck is a solid wrestler who’s grappling and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu is infused with a solid wrestling and catch wrestling base. We rolled prior to this video and he used several options against me and so I wanted to show some of them off.

The technique he shows is a basic Peterson roll with a slight modification that makes it tougher to adjust to.

If you’re looking for an option from the turtle position in BJJ or grappling then give this move a try. It’s very simple and can be used really quickly.

In this video Coach Steve Scott teaches how to do the Peterson Roll and transition into Ura Kesa Gatame (Rear Scarf Hold) and Tate Shiho Gatame (Vertical 4-Corner Hold) and onto getting an Ude Garami (Arm Entanglement) to finish your opponent.
