Should Police Officers Train in Jiu Jitsu? – 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Huntsville Police Training

In this video, I want to introduce you to my friend and 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu student Jerry King. Jerry has been with the Huntsville Police Department in Huntsville, Alabama for many, many years and is a Lieutenant on the force there.

There is a ton of controversy surrounding Law Enforcement and Police Officers these days; much of it for good reason. But I thought it would be a great idea to highlight some of the real good guys out there serving the community and actively working to improve themselves and to get better at making sure they go home at the end of the night.

Not only is BJJ proven to be the most effective martial art on the planet, but it’s also perfect for a Police Officer who needs to subdue a person and control a situation without injuring or even striking the person.

With their training at 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Huntsville, these LEO are setting an example of excellence and commitment to mastery of their craft that all officers would do well to emulate!

Personally, I’m incredibly thankful for these fine men who put themselves on the line every day for me and my family.
