<p>Out of the many effective uses for the Kimura trap concept, attack-style guard passing is one of the best. These two options shown here originate typically from a thwarted knee cut pass, resulting in a pseudo-quarter guard. </p>
<p>Depending on whether the opponent on bottom clasps his hands together to defend either outside or between your legs once you achieve the Kimura grip, you may be able to take the back or possibly go straight to a rear triangle.</p>
