The maxim in Jiu-Jitsu is typically “Position Before Submission” which is generally the best advice. However, when you understand the rules well enough, sometimes you can break them with successful results. In this video, I show about 4 exceptions to this rule in the form of submissions that work from inside the opponent’s guard.
