<p>The ezekiel choke is one of the first chokes that truly made sense, coming through the belts. And there was a point where all I wanted was a way to do it without the gi, so I started exploring.</p>
<p>This was the answer I discovered.</p>
<p>Important detail:</p>
<p>In this variation of the ezekiel, you have to forget the mechanics of the sleeve application. There is no chopping motion, and pressure from the shoulder actually weakens it. Instead, the key is to set the grip right and just flex the forearms and biceps to finish the choke clean.</p>
