Here&#8217;s the simplest one you can do: just learn to identify the trigger position (3/4 mount), make sure his hands are on one side of your body, and then roll on the other side. There are many details, tweaks, and variations that we&#8217;ll cover at some point in the future, but I just want to get you hitting this move so that you learn to believe in it. <p>The Kimura isn’t just a submission; it’s also a great big bloody handle you can use to manipulate your opponent’s body in space and to swing yourself around him. The swinging Kimura backtake is a showboat move but it is actually quite high percentage especially if you use the Kimura to tilt his body sideways towards the ground (which also prevents him from stepping over you and doing an armbar counter).
