“This instructional is awesome! I’m still no all the way through it. A lot of great content in there”

“Just want to say I’ve been doing the task based games the past month and man I’ve already found heaps of ways to implement them, especially getting past the feet when passing guard. Thanks heaps man, it really makes sense the way you go through it”

“In my opinion you are the most underestimated grappler in the industry of jiu jitsu. Your vision, your understanding, your problem solving are on another level”

There are hundreds of guard passes, but these are some really useful ones, which I think deserve some attention and should be in every passer’s arsenal. Included in this video are the following:

– Split Pass
– Knee Cut (Seated & Standing)
– Stack with Back Step
– Stack with Hip Pressure
– Toreando Variation
– Spider Guard Grip Break
– Spider Guard Step-Over
– Modified Leg Drag

Hope these are helpful. Sorry I am so sweaty and red-faced in this video, but I filmed it right after rolling for a while.

In this video we look at transitioning in a progression between double ankle and tripod sweep systems into de la Riva, single leg X, X-guard & Reverse X. Hope it helps!

When the guard player can invert, monitor, replace and defend with lots of dynamic flexibility, you are likely to have a hard time securing the pass. This video shows some principles, techniques and tricks for dealing with this kind of flexible guard, no gi edition.
