Traditional Japanese Ju-Jutsu was (and still is) very weapons focussed and assumes that every opponent could be armed. This is reflected in how the techniques are applied. Even hardcore Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners can learn something from the traditional approach to grappling.
