Did you know that #Capoeira is a combination of martial art, sport and a popular culture that developed out in Brazil, by African slaves and Brazilian Natives??? Starting in the 16th century, it was made to give slaves a chance to escape and to survive and it was illegal in Brazil until the 1930’s. That was my sport before practicing BJJ and for sure the main factor of my agility and mobility in Jiu Jitsu as it is to many top Fighters in our community.
