Repost from @ossclothing When I started jiu jitsu I was told there was no reason to reinvent the wheel, all we have to do is turn it. If this was the case, we would all be driving around on wooden wheels! Jiu jitsu evolves, concepts evolve.
This first time I saw this technique, was at American nationals 2012. I thought it was a belly down ankle lock with a weird set up. I would learn what it was 2 years later in 2014. This became the Caio Terra Ankle lock and Years after that DLR ankle lock.
