Kimura from closed guard, against a bunker of an opponent.
.
In this scenario, the opponent decided to pin my hip with his elbow and keep his head low. It is a defensive, stalling position. Sometimes it is not his decision to make, and I make him get into this position by breaking his posture on holding his head.
.
When he is too strong, I can’t move his elbows with my arms. But, I can try to move it with my hip. I hip out towards his elbow, get a good grip on his elbow with my hand/s, and hip back to the center. Because of my grip, I’ve managed to unpin his elbow from my hip.
I like to use a solid gable grip and pull his elbow up, using a bridge like motion, to make it easier to slide into the Kimura grip. From there, I pin his elbow to my chest, get a good angle using hip and shoulder movement, and submit.
Basic and powerful.
