Last week I was involved in a short foot pursuit. I was in the right place at the right time to help, and fortunately no one was injured. Unlike a sporting event, we don’t know beforehand when an incident requiring our physical capabilities will take place. There is often no warning, no warm up and no time limit. You also have no idea what the other person involved will do in response. Those things make it scary every time. I hate running, even more so with the gear on, but I try to include it in my #outreach or #training whenever I can.
