Our department provides more on duty training than many other agencies, but right now there just isn’t enough time offered to gain mastery of a something like protecting yourself from punches while stuck on the bottom of the fight so we have to seek it out on our own. How awesome would it be to work with a whole squad of people like @arndtucool who get out of their comfort zone and seek out opportunities to better themselves. He works in an area that is about an hour away from us but came by to work on some stuff from the #graciesurvivaltactics course. This was his first time doing any kind of ground work since the academy. Great job.
