Rolling in uniform is very difficult, but I think it’s important to feel how hard it is in training. You will find that the vest and duty belt greatly reduce torso flexion, and the soles of your boots get easily caught on any loose clothing (shoes were cleaned before stepping on the mats??). Retentions get inadvertently released (especially the taser) and belt keepers are absolutely necessary. I like to keep the back of my belt clear because having stuff positioned on your back hurts a lot if you get stuck underneath someone. I’m very grateful to have friends who are willing to show me what I need to work on. Day by day. **Always safety check first to remove live weapons and to make sure there isn’t anything sharp on you that will scratch the mats** ????#bellevue #police #selfdefense #jiujitsu #trainweeklyorfightweakly #protectbellevuedotcom
