The BJJ Kumite Champ | Keenan Cornelius

The BJJ Kumite was a Round Robin type tournament inviting the best brown belts from all over the world to compete. This was important for BJJ because this was going back to the roots like the old school Gracie Challenges with No Time Limit and Submission Only format.

The tournament was an opportunity for these competitors to compete against the phenom Keenan Cornelius, who had double gold medaled in every single major IBJJF tournament in the year 2012.

BJJ Kumite Rules:
-12 Competitors
-Everyone fights everyone in GI and No-Gi
-IBJJF rules for Gi and ADCC rules for No-Gi
-No Time Limit
-Submission only
Athletes with the two best records would compete in the finals for a cash prize.
