Three weeks ago we connected Jayden and his mom to coach @oathermark and he told them about the #eastsidepugs nonprofit boxing program at @ring_sports_united. The guidelines and expectations were explained and Jayden said he wanted to train and was willing to put in the effort to earn his membership. Over the past two years I’ve taken almost 40 teens to the gym to see if they wanted to take advantage of this awesome opportunity. Many initially say they are interested, but the majority never follow through. I am happy to say that Jayden has been showing up to train almost every day and seems to really enjoy it. I got to hold mitts for him and had to keep reminding myself that he’s only 14. Feel free to leave him some words of encouragement!
