I am unable to clear his elbow which is glued to his body. So I decide to try and mount anyway. I need better control over his legs – It’s hard to just kick my leg over him while he defends.

I show 2 variations. The first variation is a method to clear the near side leg when he tries to interrupt my mount transition. The second variation is when he uses the far side leg to try and thwart my mount attempt.

These are very technical and methodical approaches to the mount transition. You don’t need to be fast or flexible. Pure BJJ 🙂
