Four Helpful Escapes from Mount. These are all highly effective…but, I feel like a mini-rant to address dumb comments that come in sometimes when I demo with Anya. So here we go:
“Yeah, of course that works on a smaller female”
“The person isn’t going to just let you do that”
“Now do it against someone punching you in the face”
Plus comments about groin strikes or bites or eye gouges or weapons or multiple attackers, etc. Guys, I’ve genuinely heard them all. They’re all pretty equally ignorant, if not completely stupid.
The techniques here are proven effective. If the situation changes, the tactics need to adapt, which is why there are multiple escapes. Most of the dumb comments come from people who don’t train at all, or are brand new and speaking from a place of ignorance and anonymity behind a keyboard.
