While other athletes generally decline after one or two years at their peak, Romulo has consistently remained in the top echelon of competitors, both in the gi and nogi, and is widely regarded to be one of the best competitors of all-time: winning five IBJJF world championships in the adult division, one world championship in the master’s division and first place at the prestigious ADCC World Championships in 2013.⠀
