This is a very surprising and unorthodox variation of the Ezekiel choke.
Notice that the classic Ezekiel choke is with the “chopping hand”, the hand without the grip. In this variation, because of the angle in which I am in, in relation to his neck, the choke is with the gripping hand. You have a choke with a wider and softer part of the hand, which means that you need to apply a bit more force than usual to make him tap.
If he is holding his arm tightly it won’t be easy to do, especially if he is strong. This variation is perfect against a non vigilant opponent who left his hand off guard. Maybe while faking a different attack or back take.
