Pop the guard open and watch any half decent guy slip to your back

Easy armbar from bottom. Also easy armdrag back take, considering hes putting one hook in for you . It may work in drilling. Maybe someone with exellent posture and solid back base would pull this off? Seems pointless tbh

    Omoplata city

  6. Jamal Abdullah says

could you not put the right hand to the other side, would that prevent a back attack? But then maybe it leaves you open to getting triangled…Idk

Has back take written all over it… please let me know if you see this used in a live resistance roll and how successful it is

?? What if the guy on bottom just decide to sit up?? He takes your back with no efforts in my opinion..

TS taught this at one of his seminars. The 1st move, pinning the lapel to floor while jamming the right elbow into the gut prevents the back take. That day he called it the baseball slide break. It works great. Love the move. It does take practice with where to grip the lapel as a baggy GI can complicate things.

Counter: Arm drag to back take. Risky…

  16. Terry Roney says

  24. Joe Reyes says

Even a novice like me can tell you that the passer is not being held down by any grips to the lapels or sleeves. It’s like he’s being allowed to do that. Does this really work? I’ll find out in a couple of hours!
