Out of all the competitors this weekend, I’d say @kody_steelebjj brought the most excitement. This dude is just 🔥. He’s also a hard one to control. There may not be any mats big enough to keep this boy inside of. The intensity he brings is truly amazing.
Being a ref isn’t easy, although the refs in ADCC don’t score the matches, we must know when to reset the match or when to let it go. If someone is in a deep heel hook and rolls out of bounds we will do our best to let it continue until we can effectively stop the match and start them in the middle. I always look at both competitors before I restart them and ask, “are you comfortable?” Being a competitor myself I understand how important this is to them. Once again, amazing work everyone.
