  1. This guy had it all and it saved his life. I’ve never heard of the shooting part lol but nice one. These women picked on the wrong guy

  2. Yes, wise decision. Sometimes fight of flight takes over. Looks like fatty was teaching her children how to be thugs….moves fast too, she was the first out the door.

  3. Always take an obese lady when committing felonies. They make great cover and if you are chased you can outrun them. Obviously the lady with her favourite red sweater and gold fanny pack is very wise.

  4. This was actually a trailer for the movie 'Widows' that comes out this week. All of their husbands died in a bank heist and they have to stage a robbery in order to deliver the missing money.

  5. Logically I think it was a bad decision, but he got it on top here so you could say it's also a wise choice. I believe the guy initially intends to not fight and comply with the robbers, but when one of the perps starts to pepper-spray him on the face it probably triggered him to automatically fight, fight with all his might for his life and his daughter. So I commend him for his courage and spirit.

  6. Great stuff as always, one thing that I do like is the fact that if you get a hold of that gun good even if they get one shot off holding onto the slide most often times will jam the gun giving you at least more of a chance.
This is also another great reason to keep your distance when you have a firearm use that advantage! Getting close gives them a chance.

  7. I want to address other issues with this robbery as well. In many cases the pharmacy is own by the pharmacist. How do I know this? My mom was a 1/3rd owner of a pharmacy with two others who worked it and owned it and were pharmacists. They split the profits 3-ways. Small town pharmacies do not make a whole lot of money. My mom's cut was less than 60K per year in the 2000s. Who could afford to just let them take huge profits from you? I know your life is worth more than any money but who could afford that? There is a strong motivation to take a stand. Why? Because if they think you are an easy target. They do come back again and again later. This was the case of her pharmacy and she was forced to sell out and quit the business. My mom could not fight back, she was not physically able and she was older (In her 70s). It forced her retirement for example. I know this guy said his daughter was in back, and I get that but in the vast majority of cases the robbers just want the drugs and will leave. Anyway, after the 5th robbery in 2 months, she had to make a choice, get out of business or hire a guard and everyone would make less money paying for the guard. She quit the business and the pharmacy folded.

Consider this as well when commenting on this guys actions. I can bet you fewer will attempt to rob someone like this since he put up a fight, the other side is the next time they might shoot first and just take the drugs themselves. So, though I think putting up a fight is good, it's dangerous, and it doesn't guarantee there will not be a worse situation later. An armed guard might make a better statement….and cost a fair amount of money. These things need to be considered and there is no easy answer.

Lesson for me was this. Don't own a pharmacy unless the chance of being robbed doesn't bother you and have enough profits that the loss won't put you out of business or get you killed. For me, I was glad she quit and sold out her share.

  8. I think if you have skill & attitude you should do what is instinct say. Today I like to thank you for your advice you always give us to maintain distance with attacker & go for 100% to defend yourself. That's how I defended myself today. Thanks a lot Jhon & keep up the good work

  9. Good point- he was fortunate that the woman didn’t pull the trigger. He was also lucky the the attacker didn’t have the upper body strength to dominate the fight.

And finally, it’s a good thing that the other two accomplices weren’t armed or the outcome could have been different.

Robber to the victim, “Your money or your life.” Victim to robber, “Take my life, I’m saving my money for my retirement.”
