Sam Antonen is a mental performance coach who specialises in Jiu-Jitsu, both at an elite and recreational level. He has worked with many of the biggest names in the sport like Vagner Rocha and Kendall Reusing, helping athletes reach their maximum potential in competition.

Jits Magazine’s Alex Lindsey spoke to Sam about what it means to be a mental performance coach, and how he helps athletes overcome competition anxiety. He also explained how that changes when talking about teenage or child competitors, and how anyone can improve their performance at any level.
