Haisam Rida is a Ghana-born, Tokyo-based brown belt. His breakout moment came on the recent no-gi event Quintet, where he tapped our four black belts in one night. We caught up with him at Carpe Diem gym in Tokyo to find out more about this talented grappler, and discovered that despite success in Europe and Abu Dhabi he’s still not been able to make it to the World Championships in California.
