Even though it wasnβt meant to be, I was still able to find the gratitude of doing what I love & the beauty of having one more battle against someone I respect very much on the biggest stage. #tbt One year ago at this time, I was on the @joerogan show pouring my heart out about the obstacles I faced leading up to my @bellatormma title fight. Up to that point only a few of my closest friends & loved ones knew about my brain diagnosis & what I was going through. This was one of the most difficult processes of my life & I was extremely nervous to go on Joeβs show to talk about it. The tremendous support I received from my love @deeana6, my parents, my coaching team, my manager @edblackhouse, & my brother @thebigpygmy was major in helping me have the courage to open up like that on such a big platform. In the end, it was like a therapy session for me. I was able to get it all of my chest at once & didnβt have to continue lying to so many people on a daily basis about why it was taking so long for me to fight again. The massive response of love & support I received from all of you really helped me cope with having to be sidelined & relinquishing my belt. Thank you again Joe for the opportunity to share my story & bring awareness to my condition & thank you all for uplifting me in my time of need. I have continued to learn more about Cavernoma & have never stopped staying positive that one day I would get to come back for one more dance. I still believe & hopefully this will be the year ππΌπͺπΌπ

It was very difficult to host the grand opening for the new @lovatobjjmma academy last year & have to close two weeks later due to the pandemic. We stayed tough, made the adjustments, & came back stronger than ever πͺπΌ We are fully operational now & training hard for a big year! I have been receiving messages from people all over the world, who are struggling to be able to train & are interested in visiting.
