I use to love the spider guard! I used it for years until my fingers got too messed up haha it is a great position for someone with a strong grip.
Spider guard is great for grapplers With long limbs because you can easily stretch your opponent out and get the submission or a sweep. Shorter grapplers can also use this position to keep bigger opponents from smashing them down.
