It's pretentious to say the evolution of jiu jitsu stops with Brazil. Maybe it should just be call Japanese/Brazilian/American jiu jitsu. I don't see the Japanese complaining.
Honestly I'd consider the Craig Jones, Gary Tonon, Eddie Cummings, etc. No gi leg locks style to be a more appropriate "American" Jiu-Jitsu since the Brazilians hate it/say it doesn't work.

Obviously Lee doesn't want to grapple Dannis. It's just weird to use that against him when Dannis would NEVER fight Lee. At the end of the day, one is real fighting and the other is sport. Also Keenan is right. Brazilians are some of the most delusional people in MMA, and not just with their views on fighting and grappling.

BJJ is great, but I can not find myself willing to be that committed to being on the ground. I love boxing, and wrestling primarily. I wish I had the mindset for BJJ, because it is really an impressive art.
