Askren survived Lawler spiking him on his head and heavy ground and pound and still took Lawler down and put on a choke. The question stands HOW GOOD IS ASKRENS CHIN?

Askren is lucky to be alive, and I've no doubt Robbie would have finished him pretty soon if the gods hasn't intervened. His point blank refusal (and credit to his honesty) to do the rematch says it all.

What I don't get is and I'm actually curious about these if anybody has any answers or opinions
    1. Why didn't Lawler's legs go limp if his arm did go limp was he just being held up by Askren?
    2. It looks like Lawler had a grip on Askrens ankle the whole time the choke was in, he even lifts it as they get separated would that have been on autopilot because Lawler used to wrestle as well?

… and the red and black belt Behring also said, that the only way to teach jiu jitsu is the Gracie way, through a membership in the world association of BJJ where everybody pays money to the Gracies.

I really don't see why opinion is so divided. It looked like Lawler was out when his arm fell, so Herb shook his arm and Robbie responded immediately. The test any ref should do to check if someone is out, Robbie passed with flying colours right away.

Any claim that Lawler went out for a sec is highly speculative at best. The one time a test was applied to confirm whether he was out or not, he clearly wasn't and that's the only thing that counts. Clearly a cockup by the ref.

You can be glad Askren won, think he was going to win anyway, and think Herb made the right decision in the moment while still disagreeing with the stoppage. Yes the bulldog on the face was tight, but Lawler wasnt out, responded immediately when Herb touched him, and was free from Askren's grips other than the choke itself. Askren got the benefit of the doubt when he got slammed and had his ass pounded on the canvas…wish robbie was afforded the same opportunity.

What a travesty it would be for the UFC to not match up Askren with Maia. One or two fights down the road, hopefully.

I really wish you would stop mentioning Dillon Danis at all, that guy doesn't need any more attention. He doesn't deserve it, it's what he wants.

someone should tell Cobrinha about that small matter called "Presumption of innocence
". Accused, let alone "suspected", does not necessarily mean convicted.
