  2. Just a personal observation, but it's not so much that Askren has a hard head that allows him to take the knees and not get dropped, it's actually more due to the speed at which he performs his takedowns.

    He seems slow, or lazy with his take down, and maybe that's exactly for that reason: so he doesn't get caught running full tilt into a counter shot (like a knee) and get KOed.

    Just speculation on my part.

  10. damn, when a fighter says that you nailed his game while other top trainers couldnt, that gives a lot of credibility to your analysis on his game as well as other analysis' on other fighters

  16. For those of you asking for Khabib Conor breakdown go watch the pre-fight video. BJJ scout broke it down exactly how it would happen in the first round. I was skeptical and thought Khabib needed to land leg kicks to close the distance. What happened instead was Khabib utilized lateral movement to not allow Conor to set and then shot in at an opportune time. He ate a knee to the face and got the ankle. At that point it was Khabib time all the way. The question was whether Conor could catch Khabib early what was Khabib's strategy of closing the gap without getting hit. The lateral movement was the key and I couldn't believe it worked as well as it did.

  19. Tough one to judge. Can Askren fight at this level? This is not just anybody the UFC is matching him with. Lawler is one tough dude.

  40. I predict that Lawler will smack Ben to the floor and punch the hell out of him then Askren will survive that and get hold of Robbie's nick till Dean call it a win for Askren in a controversial way.
    But this is MMA and any thing can happen.
