great video, I was wondering if you were gonna make one on this fight. the few people I was with when watching thought it was a boring fight. but it had me on the edge of my seat. masvidal did a great job of defending, and I thought the split

Maia vs woodly ain't gonna happen anytime soon, that gorilla will ditch and ask for money fights and then call himself one of the greatest.

People still think Masvidal won, even after the Judges said, SPLIT..even after Jorge admitted defeat, en after SEEINIS CLOSE FIGHT? Its a close one, no doubt, but its got a clear winner. Maia.

Can you do a video on how Tyron R.C. Woodley has such huge knock out power. What is it exactly and can someone not of that weight division develops this power?

I love Maia but sadly I think Woodley is going to obliterate him from this earth in the first round??

I dont think he pushed limits to bjj,he just need to get more creative. Usually what he does is take back and goes for choke.. And thats it. If he cant get choke ,he should try getting some other sub.

As a striker I really like watching Demain Maia, he displays such superior Jiu Jitsu and its 90% likely he will take you down.

I just wish he put more training into his striking.

Your analysis are great! I am worried they are so great that they make it harder for Demian to win his future fights. How about holding the studys till Maia fight Woodley for the tittle? Better yet, study the game of Woodly to help out Maia's team. I am shure most trainers and figters are studying your analysis.

sick video dude, although I wouldnt say bjj has been pushed to its limit, although maia has gotten close to that. MY opinion is that he was met by a VERY game opponent in masvidal, who comes from a camp with top level bjj coaching. awesome video dude!

Maia only needs to learn to throw the speed jab and get leg/clinch, GSP style and then Woodley is fucked.

Guys remember, Maia said post fight that Masvidal was one of the best BJJ fighters he had ever faced in the Octagon. Masvidal is one of the best fighters in the division easily so give him some credit too for just being that good! At that level its hard to finish guys! And it doesn't matter how much you study Maia because his grip strength, timing and control from all the years of training wins everytime!

huge Maia fan, but what I'm worried about is the UFC brass catering to the idiots in the crowd that "boo!" at slow fights and if he cannot submit the person they will start "pushing" judges to not give close fights to Maia on cage domination alone.  he MUST start going for the submission from the back, I see how he does not want to waste arm endurance on not-so-perfect choke attempts, but maybe he needs to find a second attack from the back other than just the choke.  I want him to be champ and dominate for a long time, but his kind of fights do not sell pay-per-views…just the nature of the beast.

oh man you're just so great , In love your videos big minds think he same, I analyzed this battle almost the exact same way, I still believe masvidal could have countered wth the flying knee during the failed shots of the second round (ala Yoel Romero vs Weidman)…I feel Masvidal did a huge favor to Woodley showing how vulnerable he is when countered with fast high kicks from range or when heavily ground and pounded from half guard (you will never beat him on the ground though, that's for sure)

  29. Fabricio Fontes says

    May 25, 2017 at 9:06 am

This is kind of unfair, don't you think. You're exposing Maia's game and not doing the the same thing to Woodley.

Imho, I think Woodley matches up really well against Maia. Maia is a southpaw and the straight right (which is Woodley's best punch) is going to be there all night. Maia has never fought anyone who can close the distance like Woodley can. He cannot afford to just pressure Tyron, he is going to have to respect Tyron's power. I think Tyron's going to KO him, and I'm thinking it's probably going to happen when they reset after a failed shot. Where he might underestimate Tyron's ability to close distance and get caught trying to catch his breath.

2:56 Mma should be bare knuckle. it would give more leverage to grapplers and it would be way more realistic

Jorge is a scrappy mofo. He's also way more savvy in the ground then people think. Very well rounded guy and he brings a fight everytime. Can't wait for him and diaz, I'm thinking masvidal is gonna stop diaz and I'm a huge diaz fan. He's just been out for too long and masvidal is a sharp boxer, I think he gets a tko
