We studied this guard in class this past week and watched your videos, thanks! I am pretty new but love playing this type of guard, I like how there is a response to every position the opponent can go to. Now to drill more haha
Great vids. There's another setup as the opponent retreats standing. Using the knee (in her case the left knee) to 'pull' the opponents front leg towards your guard rather than trying to get under the opponent which opens up x guard and/or a quick leg lock submission. It's a knee bump that raises the opponent too far forward where you can get under and sweep.
Also, the 'Lo' sweep works even better if you let the spider side arm go and push the hips with, in this case, the right foot. More leverage and they can't get far enough away in time.

What happens when her opponent is leading with her left foot? vs all the displayed videos I think have been with them leading with the right foot. Does it make sense to practice doing this from both sides? Or is she just driving and situating herself to force them to fight with their right foot forward? as in hopping her hip to her left from the dela hiva angle.
